AI and the future of communication

A few months ago, I've watched a video about the earbuds that translates on real time every language in the world, and of course, my first thought was that maybe I'm investing on the wrong career.. but after a short silence I laughed because I'm able to predic even better than any AI and I'll tell you my thoughts on it.

Is AI better for translation?

Probably, yes. Everybody has used google translator for example, and it's there available for free in every device on the planet. It used to have some errors but after all these years it's become better thanks to human editing so now it's actually very accurate.

AI and the available earbuds aren't affordable for all (US$50 to US$200) and on top of that, they're newborns so they aren't that perfect just yet, but they will be massive and better in the following years.

So, should we just admit that we're useless and soon-to-be unemployed?

Well, AI is learning from us and actually, there are plenty of job offers looking for people to teach the AI their mother tongue so technically it needs us in order to learn.

Let's imagine it's 10 or 20 years ahead and AI has dominated everything. Everybody travels and works with their earbuds on, translating in real time and mistake-free perfection. Every person on earth listening to the same few words for years. Probably every song on the radio and every movie script will be made by AI and probably we will be dumber by then, since we have the machines to think for us. It reminds me of the comedy Idiocracy (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Idiocracy) but hopefully we won't get there.

Anyway, I know a little bit of our brains and I know it gets bored out of repetition. Originality and realness makes us feel happier and closer to each other. So probably art and communication in general won't be able to be taken by AI for too long, and if it does, the human interaction and creativity will be VERY profitable because it will be more difficult to find people with those skills. That's why I created the YFI method focused on communication, because I believe in the ability of using the right words is a super-power. If you can attract and persuade in more than one language you have more opportunities, regardless of what you do or the future reality. We must be prepared to be more human in order to survive. What are your thoughts about AI and communication? Can AI steal your job?
